Cable Types
- S Cord
- Two or more stranded conductors with a serving of cotton between
the copper and the insulation. Jute or other fillers are twisted together
with the conductors to make a round assembly. Outer jacket of high
quality rubber.
- SJ Cord
- Same as "S" but with lighter jacket
- SV Cord
- Same as "SJ" but with even lighter jacket
- ST, SJT, SVT
- Follow same progression as above, but with thermoplastic jacket
- SO, SJO
- Oil resistant jacket of neoprene
- SC
- NEC designation for entertainment industry and stage lighting cable;
rated 600V Extra Hard Use
- SCE
- Same as above with PVC jacket
- SCT
- Same as above with TPE based jacket
